For Kelly’s Skylar

Skylar

So my friend from collage is having her first little girl! She has been posting pictures of her nursery and it is really adorable. I was super inspired by her decor (she has always had great design skills) and I thought I would make an album for her baby gift. (kelly, if your reading this – just act surprised when you get it ;)

The layout is from the Make It From Your Heart – Volume 1. Colors used are Cranberry, Lagoon , Slate and White Daisy. The hearts were cut with the Cricut Artiste and they were stamped with the constant campaign stamp from the Whooo’s Your Valentine Kit. ( available the month of january 2013).

I love, love, love the recipe/photo box from Close to my Heart. I use it for cards, recipe cards, photos and all kinds of small storage solutions. So many options to cover it and make it what ever you want. And today, after making countless boxes I decided to make a pattern for my Silhouette to cut the pieces for me. I also made a file for dividers that would fit inside. Please enjoy these files for your personal use.

Fall Table Decor

These are two quick and easy items to make your fall holiday table look especially festive.

I used 4 metallic acrylic paints to cover these cut outs from the Cricut Artiste cartridge. Its a great way to use up old card stock that you have and customize it to your desired style!

Lego Mania 5th Birthday

So my kiddo turned 5 this past June. It was the best party with the best friends and family.I made the cupcakes and then topped them with a chocolate lego that i melted down into a mold.It was such a fun day, just wanted to share.  Really fun scrapbook pages to follow in the fall!

BTW, these fabulous pics were taken by my sons godparents who happen to be awesome wedding photos: you can find them at nathan russell photo

Christmas with Artiste!

Ornament 1 Small

Our Playing With Paper team is sharing artwork featuring some of our favorite products from CTMH. If you have come here from Jayma’s Blog, then you are on the right path.

Today I have created a few Christmas items made with the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge exclusive to CTMH. The first of these are just simple cupcake wrappers. I have to be honest and admit that the best part of making these was the cupcakes themselves!

The next is my version of a Luminaria. I also placed a snowflake shape in the middle of the bag to give a see thru effect. I used the battery operated tea lights so I don’t burn down the house!

The last are the Christmas ornaments cut from the cartridge. There are two layers to give a nice dimension. I used a really cool micro glitter called glitz to give a beautiful sheen.

Thanks for visiting! Now hop on over to Norhalma’s Blog for your next stop.

CTMH Avonlea feat. my mama

Avonlea Blog 1

My mom and I really love this picture of her when she was a teenager so I decided it needed its very own page. I used the CTMH Avonlea Paper Pack with a gorgeous Teal color. ( I really can’t get enough of the Teal). The Velvet Rub ons are AWESOME. If i didn’t watch myself I might have just used them all. They are super neat. One note on them though is that you have to really give it some umph with your little wooden tool it comes with. Don’t be afraid to give it lots of pressure.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!
